HOW TO LOOK YOUNGER AND SMARTER THAN YOUR AGE

Staying young, smart, and agile is all about lifestyle in normal circumstances. Sportsmen and women, artists, and models always appear younger and agile. The fact is that they are consigned about their look, therefore, they employ all possible means that will help enhance or achieve a younger and perfect look. Besides, looking good is good and staying young is even better, don’t go growing old before you are due. Take these tips, they will help you.

1. EXERCISE – A lot of people don’t even indulge in the simplest form of exercise like walking a few miles or jumping for a while in a week. Exercising doesn’t really mean lifting some heavy objects in the gym and running 2-5 hours at a stretch, it could be a walk, running, or jumping up to 2- 3 hours per week as long as your legs are involved. Any exercise that does not engage the legs is not considered as exercise. Exercise helps to wake the activities of the body to function as expected and also helps to rid of the unwanted. So get going a few miles weekly.

2. CHECK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE – You must regularly check, monitor and regulate your blood pressure to avoid hypertension. Hypertension or high blood pressure is the major contributor to various serious health problems including stroke, diabetes, heart diseases e.t.c. don’t say I have no high blood pressure as they don’t always show any sign until it causes serious problems.


3. DON’T SMOKE – By smoking, you are simply telling your body ‘I don’t like you or I want you to look older; smoking also causes a lot of health hazards and helps in speeding up aging, faster! By exposing the body to deadly diseases that could destroy the immune system. Besides, marijuana smoking and the use of cocaine, heroin has been found out to be the causes of over 85% of mad cases among people this day. Avoid all forms of smoking.


4. CHECK YOUR CHOLESTEROL LEVEL– Excess cholesterol level in the body is one of the major causes of aging after sickness or diseases. It slows down the body's metabolism living the body at the mercy of infections and diseases like kidney disorders heart diseases e.t.c. and when these organs are not functioning properly, the body suffers. Simply avoid processed food, cut down on eggs are meat instead, eat enough fish.


5. EAT ENOUGH FRUITS AND VEGETABLE – Fruit and vegetables contain all the vitamins and minerals your body needs to maintain good health. When you take them always, you won’t fall sick because these vitamins and minerals will boost your immune system to fight any infections and diseases.

Walk around for a while to enable the food to digest or else your body system will be on “standby׳ till the next day, meaning it will delay the body metabolism process.


11. INDULGE IN FASTING ON FRUIT – Apart from the spiritual benefits, fasting also has so many health benefits. For instance, when you fast, you detoxify your body. Fasting also helps to rid off bad cholesterol and fat deposit. Study shows that people who occasionally fast lead a healthier life than those who do not. But don’t overdo it.


12. .Take sufficient water but not while you eat and not during exercise. Physiologically, it’s not good for you to take too much water while you eat and not during exercise.

MOUTH ODOR/ BAD BREATH : HERBAL HOME REMEDY

Bad breath, mouth odor, also medically referred to as Halitosis, is an unpleasant smell coming from the mouth. Halitosis occurs occasionally due to the intake of certain food or drinks, inhaling or smoking of substances. It can also be a symptom of some underlying health conditions: diseases, infections, and disorders.
 .
Most people with this problem are not aware that they have it- even you that is reading this write-up, but people around you know if they are sensitive to odor.
Mouth odor can be quite embarrassing, you see it in people's reactions when you speak or yawn.
There are ways to test for mouth odor. Lick the back of your palm or hand, allow drying for a few seconds then smell the spot, the way it smells is possibly the exact state of your mouth odor.
Another way to test is to scrape your tongue with a spoon and smell the thick fluid from it, the way it smells is possibly the way your mouth smells to others.

 There are two types of mouth odor- primary or transient and chronic mouth odor.
Primary mouth odor is caused by mouth dryness, smoking, or eating foods like garlic, onion, and other sharp odor foods. This type will disappear with time and with thorough brushing of the teeth, tongue, and gums otherwise known as proper oral hygiene.
Chronic mouth odor is caused by a high concentration of bacteria in the mouth, gum disorders, tooth decay, mouth ulcer, liver disorder, and other health problems/diseases.

The recommendation below is for those who have mouth odor as a result of some bacterial in the mouth and nostrils. If you have other health problems which you know are causing your mouth odor, treat yourself, go for a test to be sure, stop smoking if you do so- it's a bad habit.

REMEDY- Ensure to drink sufficient water and treat any gum, tooth, or any other health problems in the mouth with appropriate medication- some good mouth wash is sold in the drug store [chemist].

Also, endeavor to brush your teeth two times a day with more emphasis on the tongue where bacterial are found mostly in the mouth. Then, chew some dry or ground clove [canfra in Yoruba], thyme, rosemary leaves, or fresh scent leaves- morning and before bed.

OPTION B: Pound some long black pepper (Xylopia Ethiopia) pour into a cup of hot water, add some dried scent leaves and inhale the vapor coming from the hot water several times, then sieve and drink the mixture. Do this often till the bad breath disappears.

It is also important to note here that some bad breath is caused by overgrown bacteria in the nostrils, in this case, one will also smell bad breath both in the nose and the mouth, in this case, squeeze some clean fresh scent leaves into your nostril.

OPTION C: DANGEROUS: Washing your mouth with fuel at least once a month will definitely keep bacteria that cause mouth odor from your mouth. Don't swallow the fuel. Please, stay away from the fire if you must use this option.

INFERTILITY IN MEN , LOW SPERM COUNT: HERBAL HOME REMEDY


The major causes of men's infertility problems are either as a result of damage to the reproductive system by infections, external factors, or when the veins in a man’s testicles are too large as a result of heat on the testicle. Sperm is the male reproductive component compulsory to complete the fertilization process involved in conception. Though there are millions of sperm cells that flow through the female reproductive system after ejaculation, just one is enough to fertilize the egg. Sadly, many men have the problems of low sperm count or a total absence of active cells in their semen-azoospermia. This can result in infertility in men.

HOW TO PREVENT LOW SPERM COUNT - Avoid the use of illicit drugs, tobacco, excessive alcohol intake, and smoking, avoid heat around your scrotum by not wearing tight pants, boxer, and other things that may cause heat to it, avoid sitting for too long, also avoid junk foods, sweetened beverages. Take enough vitamins and minerals like Vit E and A, folic acid, zinc, selenium, eat sufficient pumpkin leaves and seeds, beans, carrots, beets, chili pepper, groundnut e.t.c. Regular but mild exercise promotes good health in general.
REMEDY – Treat yourself of infections like staphylococcus if you have it, stop taking or indulging in any of those things mentioned as causes. Get some fresh okra, cotton leaves, guava leaves, and a root they call “gbolo” in Yoruba, wash and pound the leaves and okra, cut the roots in pieces, put all in a gallon, add some water and a bottle of pure honey.
One-shot, or mug full - morning and night. Another food that boosts sperm is pap (akamu) , kunu or any food or drink made with guinea corn.

WARNING- Avoid drinking or taking anything that contains soya beans when you already have a low sperm count, it may reduce your sperm count more.

INFLAMMATION OR ITCHING OF THE TESTICLE-SCROTUM (Epididymitis): HERBAL HOME REMEDY


The scrotum may become inflamed or severe itching as a result of various factors. This problem occurs frequently in young men between 20 - 39, though it can also affect males of all ages at some stage as a result of certain disorders occasioned by infections or the intake of some drugs.

TYPHOID FEVER: HERBAL HOME REMEDY

Typhoid fever is usually caused by salmonella typhi bacteria. It’s contacted by the injection of contaminated food and water. 

Symptoms may last up to two weeks or more in the infected person and maybe severe with those with a weak immune system and children that have not been vaccinated. Typhoid is far less common in industrialized and developed nations but has a stronghold in less developed nations due to poor sanitation.

SYMPTOMS MAY INCLUDE- Headache, dry throat, abdominal pains, backache, rashes, diarrhea in children, constipation in adults, loss of appetite, weakness, a coated tongue that looks whitish, inflammation of the bones, higher body temperature that reaches up to 40 degrees and usually subside at night and increases in the morning.

CAUSES – Poor sanitation/dirty environment, improper diet, habit, contaminated foods, and water.

  FIRST AIDS TREATMENT – The first step in treating typhoid is to take very many fresh oranges or pineapples (Vitamin C.). 
Get a bowl of hot water and another bowl of cold water, dip your feet in the hot and in the cold water alternatively in an interval of thirty seconds to regulate your body temperature. 

If the body is very hot and temperature is high,  then soak the white part of a broken raw eggs with a handkerchief or very small towel, place it on both feet, and wear socks over it, or break the egg in a bowl and place your feet on the bowl or pound some raw onions or potatoes, stuck in a suck and wear it. It will drag down the high temperature from the brain where it is potentially dangerous to the feet till it stops.


REMEDY – Get three Lipton tea, the bark of a mango tree -optional), Four grape oranges, yellowish pawpaw leaves, about ten chloroquine leaves, and about ten lime oranges, cut all others except the Lipton tea in pieces, put in a pot, add about 4 litres of water, Cook, and allow cooling.

DOSAGE: Take one teacup or a mug full as an adult then give half of the dose to children above twelve and a shot or 10ml to 15ml of it to children below twelve years of age.

KIDNEY STONES / KIDNEY PROBLEMS: HERBAL HOME REMEDY

You may also add half a bottle of pure natural honey.

DOSAGE – One mug or 50ml - morning and evening.


Alternatively, wash the leaves, dry very well and add a teaspoon of the grinded powder in a cup of hot water, allow cooling, and drink. morning & night.

HEART PALPITATION: HERBAL HOME REMEDY

Palpitation is an abnormal beating of the heart; characterized by too fast, fluctuating, and irregular beat. A situation that seems as if your heart disagrees with you when the tension goes high, usually pounding or racing in an unpleasant and unstable manner.

CAUSES- Lack of potassium, Anxiety, stress, anemia, drug abuse- smoking, drug overdose, fear, lack of confidence/ inferiority complex and low self-esteem, high blood pressure, low level of oxygen in the blood, alcoholism, fever, overeating. It is not to be taken lightly when one begins to have chest pain, unusual sweating, headache, loss of consciousness, shortness of breath, dizziness. These could be a sign of heart disease and can become a serious problem if not taken care of as soon as possible.

REMEDY- Get some Kalanchoe pinnatum  plant leaves called[ebe okpokpan in urhobo, eru-odundun in Yoruba, odaa opue in igbo], avocado pearl leaves and seven limes, wash them properly, cut the limes and put them in a pot or kettle, and add about two liters of water, cook for about thirty minutes and allow cooling.

STOMACH ULCER: HERBAL HOME REMEDY


An ulcer is a common health problem among middle-aged people. It’s an open sore on the organ or tissues in the stomach, esophagus, and duodenum, or other organs of the body. 

The best way to treat ulcer is to avoid the intake of whatever complicates it, like aspirin, alcohol, smoking, strong food like carrot, groundnut e.t.c. starving and too much fasting should also be avoided. 

NOTE- If you have an ulcer, you don’t just eat anything edible. High acidity foods and drinks like limes, oranges e.t.c can increase the condition.


SYMPTOMS MAY INCLUDE- Burning sensation, sharp pain in the affected organ, pain when the stomach is empty, mild heartburn, blood in feces, weakness, excessive thirst, blood in vomit.

CAUSES- Germs in the body, hereditary, bad eating habits, excessive use of aspirin, stress.

REMEDY- Get some cabbage leaves, two nutmegs, seven long black pepper (xylopia aethiopica) , unripe plantain(pill off the skin) wash and pound the rest and cut the plantain in pieces, put all in a clean four liters gallon and fill with water, allow to stay for two or three days, then shake very well. You may also add some honey to taste.

(You may keep it in a refrigerator. pls, not freezer)

DOSAGE- one mug or teacup full - three or four times a day. Those with peptic ulcers should also take this recommendation.
